Editing 101 for Creative Writers

  • editing workshop

  • can accomodate large groups

  • 3 hours

Editing a novel, story, or poetry collection can be difficult if you don’t know where to start! What is purple prose? How do you use a semi-colon? Should you delete all adverbs? It’s important to know the rules in order to break them. This info session covers editing theory for creative writers and – most importantly – how to put it into practice. Includes a glossary of editing terms and useful checklists.

Ideal for book and literature festivals. Adaptable to online and in-person.
